ASV HFC-40 Spindle


The HFC-40 Spindle is suitable for machining operations, such as drilling, milling, as well as for grinding. It can be operated in various positions, such as horizontal, vertical, or angular. The spindle is designed to run either clockwise or counterclockwise.

Its neat, compact design allows the spindle to be attached to many and various application on different machine, etc. With its design, flexibility, this spindle can be ganged together in groups, etc. Brackets to mount spindles are also available upon request.

The HFC-40 Spindle is operated from a high frequency inverter that can run the spindle at various speeds. The spindle is of a totally enclosed construction, with ABEC Class 7 bearings, and with the use of some ceramic bearings in critical applications as well.

Bearings are permanently lubricated with no additional lubrication required. The spindle is equipped with an air-purge port for front and rear bearing to keep out contaminants and coolant.

This spindle is cooled with a shaft-mounted fan, or as an option, the spindle can be cooled with a 24VDC fan for continuous speeds above 24,000 RPM. This, of course, is dependent upon the application. If the spindle is used with a variable speed control, then the separate cooling fan is recommended.
